Our feature this weekend is crab stuffed wild Mexican shrimp over a smoked cheddar white grit cake, Montana andouille sausage étouffée, roasted corn and local herbed mushroom succotash. We are pairing the Savoya Vineyard Chardonnay from Ken Wright Cellars. This Yamhill-Carlton vineyard produces elegant wines and the winemaking was spot on for the 2020 vintage. Balancing the crispness of the Willamette Valley with richness and complexity from the oak aging we taste honey and earthy depths with grapefruit, lemon zest, licorice, and savory notes. Fresh fruits like raspberry, apple, and green pear with beautiful acidity make this a perfect pairing.
